Associate Professor Ed Oakley

Associate Professor Oakley is a paediatric emergency medicine specialist, Chief of Critical Care at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne and an honorary research fellow at Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. He is an associate professor at the University of Melbourne.

Ed undertook training in emergency medicine in Australia and has worked as a paediatric emergency medicine specialist for 20 years. Ed is a member of the Royal Children’s Hospital Executive; the Clinical Trials Group of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine; the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Queensland Emergency Medicine Research Foundation, and a Board member of the Emergency Medicine Foundation. In PREDICT, Ed is an experienced Executive member involved as a chief investigator on several NHMRC an MRFF funded multicentre studies.
